Middle of Nowhere

We live in the middle of nowhere. Actually we live in Bryant Arkansas in a subdivision in a suburb of Little Rock. Most evenings GaoYan and I love to walk and push Caleb in the stroller. But living in the middle of nowhere a person must use their imagination to find community and beautiful sights.
Last night we walked to the little league baseball games. Caleb loves watching all the people. Little kids dart in front of me playing tag. As a treat we brought a few dollars for the concession stand. I got a cherry snow cone and Yan got hot salty French fries. We couldn’t believe all the families that eat that stuff for dinner: chicken strips basket and a coke or nachos jalapeƱos with watery velvita cheese. Walking home just before sunset, the sky was American blue and birds were singing loudly from their perch on telephone poles and Yan and I talked about how much we would miss this place.
